Alternatives to a microwave?

Alternatives to a microwave? I'm considering buying an iopener for my repairs but I don't have a microwave and I don't want to buy one just for this.

consider a heat gun instead. i use a heatgun (carefully) to do most of the tasks an iopener is used for. i don't have an iopener, so i'm not sure if they're waterproof or not.
