A brand new toner cartridge is printing thick black horizontal lines

A brand new toner cartridge is printing thick black horizontal lines

I just put in a new toner cartridge and the first five prints have 1 1/4” thick black lines spaced about 2 1/4” apart all the way down the page. Why is this happening? I installed correctly.
