Why is my off switch not working?

Why is my off switch not working? The off switch doesn't turn the camera off. However switching it to on turnes it on after it falls asleep.

Old post I know, but I was able to fix this same issue by blowing real hard into and around the on/off switch. Silly, I was exploring taking the whole thing apart.
