Sony dsc-f717 needs a new CCD sensor

Sony dsc-f717 needs a new CCD sensor can anyone tell me if a CCD sensor replacement is easy enough to do if I already have the new replacement part, the camera is a Sony DSC-F717.

janner929, this is a depends answer. It depends on how comfortable you are in taking small stuff apart and it depends on your patience. You can download the complete service manual from my fileserver Take a look at it and see if that is something you are willing to tackle. It does look doable ;-) Hope this helps, good luck.
