My faithful Laserjet 1200 printer will no longer print.

My faithful Laserjet 1200 printer will no longer print.

My printer was working perfectly. All of a sudden, when I try to print, the small green light on the upper left goes on for a few seconds, then reverts to yellow blinking. I have restarted it to no avail. I have checked to be sure that there is no paper stuck anywhere.

"The HP 1200 Laser Printer does NOT have a power switch, only what I will call a reset button on the upper left of the cartridge door.  This button cycles when plugging the printer in to an outlet. It also is used to reset the cycle after a jam.

There must be an internal problem with the printer if all you get is a flashing amber light next to the reset button.

My 1200 just sits quietly on my desk with no motor operation, despite following all the commands on various help boards, as well as semi-disassembling the printer for a loose connection.

If someone has the solution, a response is appreciated. Meantime, old faithful goes into the closet.
