How can I shut down my virus-infected remote desktop PC?

How can I shut down my virus-infected remote desktop PC? I have a remote PC connected with Remote Desktop as administrator. It was infected by a virus and therefore I can't run task manager or command run.

"If you are able to right click on the desktop:

Create a new text file.
Put ""shutdown -s"" inside.
Save the file, then rename it to something.bat.
Double-click."

Click on an empty area on the desktop and press Alt+F4. This should bring up the shutdown menu.
