Diagnostic port cover missing. Is my watch still water resistant?

Diagnostic port cover missing. Is my watch still water resistant? I recently got an Apple Watch Series 4 44mm GPS+Cellular on eBay used. I noticed that the diagnostic port cover is missing and was wondering if the water resistance is affected by this. Can my watch get damaged if water reaches that port?
