Youth Lens 2011: Youth Make it Happen, Be the Solution"

The University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) through its School of Education (SED) and Human Development will conduct the Youth Lens Forum entitled "Youth Lens 2011: Youth Make It Happen, Be the Solution" on September 21-22, 2011 at the Dizon Hall of the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), Pearl Drive, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. The objectives of the conference are to:

1. explain the concept of volunteerism and its relevance to the young student leaders;
2. demonstrate the Knowledge and Systems for Voluntary Attendants (KSVAs) needed by young volunteers (i.e., leadership development, strategic planning, project management, and resource development); and
3. create an action plan for their school/community addressing a particular problem, in relation to the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) that can be solved by the students themselves through volunteerism.
   

The teachers and student leaders in the 3rd and 4th year high school from both public and private schools are invited to attend this activity.

A conference fee of Nine Hundred Fifty Pesos (PhP950.00) shall be charged to each student-participant to cover expenses for meals, conference kit and certificate of participation while the faculty adviser shall be charged a conference fee of One Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Pesos (PhP1,450.00). The advisers from public schools will be given a 50% discount, hence they will only pay Seven Hundred Twenty Five Pesos (PhP725.00).
