The details on the number of teachers per subject area, per campus are contained in the enclosure.
The teachers shall be selected on the basis of the following criteria:
- must be a teacher of science high school;
- preferably new in science, i.e. 1-5 years of teaching experience; in the event that there are no new teachers, those who need improvement will be preferred; and
- preferably coming from municipality/division with no or less SEI scholarship qualifiers.
A consolidated list of teachers by subject area and by school shall be submitted by the regional director (RD) to the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Programs and Projects (Attention: Dr. Ruth Fuentes) not later than April 20, 2012.
The RD shall see to it that the divisions/schools involved in the training under this Project shall cooperate and collaborate with the PSHSS on all processes, which include but not limited to the conduct of the training and the monitoring and evaluation of the impact of the training, and comply with the requirements pertinent to the completion of the project. For this purpose, a regional coordinator shall be designated and his/her name shall be indicated as such in the list of teachers to be submitted.
Participants should complete the two (2) phases of the training. A certificate of completion indicating the level of participation in the training shall be awarded to each participant.
Travelling expenses of the participants to and from the venue shall be charged to the school/division local funds while board and lodging shall be provided by PSHSS and DepEd.
Participants are expected to be at the training venue on Day 0 (a day before the training day). The first meal will be dinner of the same day. The training will start at 8:30 a.m. on May 7, 2012.
