2012 Battle of the ICT Wizards

The Computer Assisted Learning (CAL) will conduct its 2012 Battle of the ICT Wizards with the theme "It’s more fun in IT! Technology for Tourism Promotion” from October to November 2012.
The Competition will be held in three (3) legs:
  • Luzon - October
  • Visayas - November
  • Mindanao - November
The participants will utilize different computer applications and programs to create designs that will highlight the country’s scenic spots, cultural heritage, and warmth of its people.

The Contest is open to all elementary and high school students from both public and private schools nationwide. The students will be competing in the following categories:
  • Elementary - MS Powerpoint
  • Secondary - Adobe Photoshop, Pagemaker/ InDesign, xHTML/ Dreamweaver, Visual Basic 6, Adobe Flash, On-the-spot PC assembly and troubleshooting
The grand finals will take place in Manila on January, 2013.

The conduct of this activity must not disrupt classes as stipulated in DepEd Order No 9, s. 2005 entitled "Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
