- improve and enhance the musical knowledge of the music teachers of all levels in both public and private schools of the region;
- expose and raise the level of artistic awareness of the local people towards the appreciation of music organizations such as the symphony orchestra, the symphonic band, rondalla, choral groups and small ensembles, through an outreach program which includes performances and lecture demonstrations;
- develop trainors for popular ensemble groups such as the rondalla, guitar, chorus, band, drum and lyre corps;
- expose local musical talents to the different activities for their further development as future musicians;
- provide a practicum for the students of the UST Conservatory of Music to hone their skills in music education and performance; and
- encourage social interaction among the teachers, students, participants and local residents.
The course fee is Two Thousand Pesos (PhP2,000.00) which shall be charged to each participant, and which allows them to enroll to any number of class subjects and includes admission to all daily concerts by the different musical groups.
