150th Birth Anniversary of Leon Apacible

The 150th Birth Anniversary of Leon Apacible will be celebrated on October 25, 2011. A formidable warrior during the Philippine Revolution in the 1890’s, Leon Apacible was a respected lawyer and public servant who served as judge in the Court of First Instance of Batangas City, and a delegate to the Malolos Congress. In support of the celebration, the Department of Education (DepEd) requests the teachers and students of Batangas to include the life, works, and achievements of Leon Apacible in their classroom discussions during the month of October. Moreover, it is requested that the division officials, principals, teachers, and students of the nearby schools of Taal, Batangas and the members of Technical Working Committee (TWC) will represent this Department during the commemoration program on October 25, 2011 at 8:00 in the morning at the Apacible Shrine, Taal, Batangas.
