Andry Rajoelina photo
Andry Rajoelina was born on May 30, 1974 to a relatively wealthy but unexceptional family and privately educated. An interesting personal story intrigued the public before he became a president.
Rajoelina is a young entrepreneur and fresh-face leader. By the time he was 20 years old, he worked as a Disc Jockey (DJ) in some clubs and bars of Antananarivo. He then promoted other performers and set-up his own radio station and an advertising company. As his radio station rose to popularity so was he.
He became the head of the TGV association and later decided to run for mayor of Antananarivo. He was successfully elected as mayor. Rajoelina faced political crisis and tensions against former Madagascar president Marc Ravalomanana. Rajoelina's charisma made the people and the military convinced Ravalomanana to resign from the presidency due to the Ravalomanana's ineffective policies, poverty reduction strategies and autocratic behavior.
Rajoelina became president of Madagascar in March 17, 2009 when military leaders transferred to him the executive power given to it by President Ravalomanana.
What can we get from this story? Power doesn't choose age level. No matter how young you are, if you have the capability to lead, the people are wise enough to choose you as their leader.
Do you think that "the younger your age, the more incompetent you are" is true? Does young age has bad consequences in holding presidential power? - https://www.affordablecebu.com/
