Online survey to improve competitiveness of Philippine tertiary-level graduates

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in partnership with the College of Education of De La Salle University is calling on all graduates of Philippine colleges and universities who graduated from 2006 to 2010 to participate in a Graduate Tracer Study (GTS) that seeks to assess the employability of Philippine college graduates. The study will be conducted via an online survey that will run from July to October, 2012.
Batch 2006 to 2010 graduates of different Philippine colleges and universities are strongly urged to log on to www.knowledgecommunity.ph to answer the on-line survey. The GTS will help the CHED to examine the issues concerning the employability of higher education graduates and assess the ability of higher education programs to provide the necessary skills, values and training that are expected by future employers.

The survey is a top priority in CHED’s research agenda because unemployment and underemployment continues to be a main concern of the Philippine government. Compared to other Asian economies, the Philippines’ unemployment and underemployment rates continue to be among the highest in the region during the past five years.

CHED has implemented two other surveys in the past; the first in 1999, and the second in 2004, in line with their mandate to monitor the performance of programs and institutions of higher learning.

The results of the 2012 GTS will be used to help the CHED to institute the necessary reforms and policies to ensure that higher education institutions and graduates are prepared to meet the challenges of a 21st century world. - https://www.affordablecebu.com/
