This award recognizes the exemplary work and dedication accomplished in the following fields: 1) Arts; 2) Letters; 3) Communication and Humanities; 4) Social Sciences; 5) Technical and Scientific Research; 6) International Cooperation; 7) Concord; and 8) Sports.
Each Prince of Asturias Award comprises a Joan Miro sculpture representing and symbolizing the Award, a cash prize of € 50,000.00, a diploma and an insignia.
The nominees should be exemplary in their respective fields and their work or contribution should be of international standing in the abovementioned categories.
The deadline for submission of nomination is on March 14, 2013. Nominations are to be sent by email to: fpa@fpa.es.es or by post or handed in at the Fundacion de Asturias Offices.
