Global Walk Event of ANswering the Cry Of the Poor (ANCOP)

The Couples for Christ (CFC) ANswering the Cry Of the Poor (ANCOP)-Tekton Foundation has the vision of bringing GOD's transforming love to the poorest families in the country by undertaking a Child Scholarship Program (CSP) for thousands of students from indigent families in Metro Manila and in some provinces. To expand the reach of the CSP especially among deserving but poor children studying in public schools through this Program, this Foundation will sponsor the biggest walk event called the Global Walk on August 21, 2011 at 5:00 a.m. at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA), Pasay City.
This activity aims to break the cycle of poverty among indigent families due to the lack of proper education by encouraging the private sector to support the CSP through the following ways or means:

1. joining the Global Walk and paying Three Hundred Pesos (PhP300.00) participation fee to sponsor a student who belongs to the poor family. The net proceeds will be used for the scholarship of qualifying students in the participating public schools.
2. enlisting as an ANCOP partner by sponsoring scholars with the following rates:
• Elementary/High School Assistance - PhP12,500.00 yearly/scholar; and
• College Educational Assistance - PhP25,000.00 yearly/scholar
3. formally adding this global event as part of the National Service Training Program (NSTP) which is one of the community service requirements in college.
   

Around 130,000 participants from all over the world are expected to join this event including those from the public and private schools nationwide.
