47th Annual Biology Teachers Association (BIOTA) National Convention and Scientific Sessions

The Biology Teachers Association of the Philippines, Inc. (BIOTA-Phils.Inc.) in cooperation with the Ateneo de Naga University, and the Comission on Higher Education (CHED) will hold its 47th Annual BIOTA National Convention and Scientific Sessions with the theme "The 21st Century Biology: Pedagogy and Scientific Research," on April 12-14, 2012 at the Ateneo de Naga University, Naga City, Camarines Sur. The Convention aims to:

1. provide opportunities for biology educators, teachers and researchers to identify relevant and effective content and teaching strategies that reflect current trends in the biology teaching-learning and research processes;
2. identify effective ways by which contemporary teaching approaches and practical research methods can be integrated into the Biology course at the different educational levels;
3. stress the reponsibility of biology teachers and researchers in promoting interest, understanding and appreciation of the biological sciences; and
4. provide a venue for teachers to she experiences and to enhance their knowledge on research works, teaching innovations, and other creative activities that may help improve and promote Biology education in the country.
   

Considering the relevance and importance of this annual Convention towards upgrading educators and researchers in different fields of Biology, teachers, professors, instructors, and educators of public and private elementary and secondary schools are allowed to attend on official time. Each participant shall be charged a registration fees to cover the training materials, kits, speaker's fees, educational field trip fee, certificates, six (6) snacks and three (3) meals is as follows:

Pre-registration (on or before February 15, 2012)	PhP3,100.00
Life members	PhP3,000.00
Pre-registration (on or before February 15, 2012)	PhP2,800.00
