The Philippines is invited to participate in the 26th Summer Universiade
which will be held in Shenzhen, People's Republic of China on August
12-23, 2011.
This is a sports competition co-organized by the International Federation of University (FISU) and the Organizing Committee of the said event. This will be participated in by around 13,000 athletes from more than 200 countries. This event will feature a video showing the educational developments around the world, inspiring stories of university students including their achievements in academics, scientific research, sports, and social activities. The Department of Education (DepEd) is requested to submit materials for the video show to the organizers not later than July 12, 20,11.
