The University of the Philippines (UP) through the College of Social
Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP) will hold the 2012 UP-CSSP Summer
Training with the theme " Innovations in Philippine Social Science
Training and Research in the Digital Age” on April 17-20, 2012 at the
UP-CSSP Multi Media Room (Palma Hall 400), UP Diliman, Quezon City.
The 2012 UP-CSSP Summer Training for Teachers aims to provide opportunities for the participants to explore social science teaching strategies and research methods in the age of internet. The lectures and workshops for this training are configured to feature current research and pedagogy papers highlighting the impact of the new media in the rapidly changing world from the lens of the different social science disciplines. Participants to this activity are the teachers of social sciences from public and private elementary and secondary schools and from tertiary educational institutions. Each participant shall be charged a registration fee of Four Thousand Pesos (PhP4,000.00) to cover abstract of papers, lunch (4), snacks (8) and certificate of participation.
