Second National Congress in Industrial Education

The Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) through the College of Industrial Education will hold the Second National Congress in Industrial Education with the theme "Breaking New Grounds for Curriculum Framework Advancement in Industrial Education,” on December 6-8, 2011 at the 5th Floor Conference Hall, IRTC, TUP, Manila. The Congress aims to:

1. undertake a review of the various policies and regulations issued by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Education (DepEd) including the recent national and international trends that influence industrial education;
2. review the Secondary Education Curriculum (SEC) 2010 of DepEd and identify the areas affecting the implementation of industrial education in basic education;
3. discuss the implications of strengthened technical-vocational education to industrial education; and
4. share knowledge and expertise on the proposed curriculum framework in industrial education.
   

The participants to this activity are deans/administrators and faculty members of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) offering Industrial Education Program, schools division/city superintendents (SDs) or regional heads/administrators/industrial education teachers of DepEd, curriculum planner and other concerned professionals or parties.

A registration fee of Three Thousand Six Hundred Pesos (PhP3,600.00) will be charged to each participant to cover seminar kit, meals and certificate. Check payment for the registration fee will be made payable to TUP.
