She is born in a small wooden house in the remote area of the Southeast Asian country's former capital of Yangon, Myanmar. In this place, she walks and runs with seven (7) toes in each foot. She claps and grips with her 12-finger hands. This extraordinary physical attributes of a person is known as polydactylism (congenital physical anomaly), an abnormal condition of having extra fingers or toes. Le Yati Min has this kind of condition. Instead of feeling ashamed, her 26-year-old mother Phyo Min Min Soe is very proud of it.
During Le Yati Min's birth, her mother was a little bit worried and asked the nurses in the hospital if her newborn daughter had complete hands and legs. The nurses replied that the baby has more than she needs.
After few months or birth, knowing that her baby was born with extra digits - having 12 fingers and 14 toes, Phyo Min Min Soe with the help of her neighbor wanted break a record for her daughter - "the living person with the most/greatest number of fingers and toes" in the Guinness World of Records. They file an application.
There are two current record holder of this right: Pranamya Menaria and Devendra Harne. Both of them are from India. They set a Guinness record of having 12 fingers and 13 toes (a total of 25). But Le Yati Min has more than that. With the application in hand, the Guinness World of Records officials are currently examining and verifying the facts. No results yet are officially published for the application.
Born with 12 fingers and 14 toes, Le might be regarded as the most "digitally enhanced" person in the world. Now, Le Yati Min's family in impoverished Myanmar is waiting for the results of their application in the Guinness World of Records.
