Why does TV power on and off suddenly?

Why does TV power on and off suddenly? At first it would power on and would work for an hour. Then it would begin the on and off continuous cycle. I’ve done some troubleshooting, but now once its plugged in, the on and off cycling begins? ANSWERS:
