USB not detected by USB port

USB not detected by USB port

I have bought a new usb and when it arrived,I plugged it and it was detected by the TV but when I copied my movies and music into the USB and plugged it again,the TV screen keeps saying “USB Device disconnected”.Please help me with this…..
