Roku 2nd Generation remote inputs not responding

Roku 2nd Generation remote inputs not responding I have brand new batteries in it. Sometimes the delay takes several seconds. I have tried taking the batteries out and putting them back in, but that doesn’t always work. Am I missing something? ANSWERS:
