Picture break-up on some channels, otherwise ok

certain channels , picture breaking up, sometimes quite badly, other -wise, normal ?

ANSWERS:

"Hi,

How do you get the TV channel signals, direct via a TV antenna or an input connection via a ""box"" to an antenna or cable?

If via an antenna have you checked that the existing antenna is in good condition and is pointed in the correct direction with regard to where the TV transmitters are?

Check the signal level for your channels. You may need a new antenna or antenna lead and possibly a masthead amplifier as well if the signal level is too low or on the threshold for some channels but not for others.

If connected via a ""box"" what make and model number is it? Check its' User guide to see if it has a signal level menu option as well."

Hi @lestersmith1257,

This is more than likely due to your aerial, than any other factor. If it is a digital TV, then one of the down sides is that the picture and sound signals a sent separately instead of together like the old analogue units.

Hi Vin,

Hello, sm_vulus, and to you also jayeff, .Trust it's OK to answer you both in the one post. You both touched on the one and only thing I had in mind, the 'antenna', . But I was a bit puzzled why only the odd channel, and not all channels ?.Since you both pointed to this , then without doubt , at the moment, I will indeed get the antenna connections checked ! Can only assume that winter has caused problems ,
