My Refrigerator stopped working 4 months ago & started working.

My Refrigerator stopped working 4 months ago & started working. The reason I left it on was to get water for my coffee. About 4 months ago I heard aloud rumblings from below & then knocking in the middle & slowly it stopped cooling ( huge water fountain ) Well no more ice chest…knock on wood. I asked for a break in life & it's been fine & working well.
