Heart rate infrared light stopped working. Can it be repaired?

Heart rate infrared light stopped working. Can it be repaired? Device is no longer tracking heart rate. Have gone through all software troubleshooting options but the IR light no longer flashes so I think it is the physical IR sensor that needs replacing/repairing. Any fixes out there?
