Green light blinking rapidly, menu comes up randomly
I have a Sony KDL-32BX300 TV and until recently it's been working perfectly. Now though I can still turn the set on with the power button on the set, but once it's on, the green light on the TV will be blinking rapidly. At first, the tv will function normally, but eventually the menu will pop up on the screen and flicker on and off a bit. This seems to happen randomly but can also be triggered by adjusting the volume with the remote control or by pressing the power button on the TV (which no longer turns the tv off). The only way to turn the tv off is by pressing power on the remote. It seems that if I turn the tv off, the menu issue goes away for a while. Also, I left the tv unplugged for a couple days and when I'd initially turned it back on, the problem seemed to be gone before it eventually resurfaced.
