3 year old Vizio 55” TV died!

3 year old Vizio 55” TV died! Our Vizio 55” died suddenly! I observed a bright white horizontal line across the center of the screen, then both the display and sound quit! It’s been a great TV, so we would rather repair than replace. Please offer any possible suggestions as to why the TV suddenly quit and if it may be repairable? ANSWERS:
