Apple watch series 2 cannot pair after reset

Apple watch series 2 cannot pair after reset The watch is able to be reset, but it cannot connect to any of my working iphones because their firmware version is too new and the watch firmware version cannot update and thus cannot sync. I have tried with iphone 6/SE.
