KOJIC ACID is an organic compound derived from fungi, which is likely not made in laboratories. It works to inhibit the production of melanin which may cause hyperpigmentation on the skin. It will heighten turnover of cells by exfoliating and removing dead skin cells that can cause breakage then exposing the new skin cells.
