Linux System Administrator

Responsibilities

Resolve critical problems in production environment with a minimum turnaround time

Discover performance bottlenecks in test and productions environments

Manage the infrastructure to support the increased load

Required skills

Good written and oral English communication skills

Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology degree (4 to 5 years or equivalent)

Strong understanding and experience with UNIX / Linux (preferably CentOS)

Good knowledge of shell scripting (bash, zsh)

Strong understanding of managing the network stack (TCP/IP, IPTables)

Preferred skills

Understanding of scalability through caching, load balancing and clustering

General understanding of web application architecture, asynchronous design and distributed data systems

Proficiency in one or more of scripting languages (Perl, Python, Ruby, Tcl, REXX, etc.)

Some experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Amazon EC2)

Experience working in Agile Software Development environment

Required experience

Minimum 1 years experience, 3 years recommended
