DepEd will conduct Consultation Workshops on the K to 12 Curriculum Mapping Outputs

The Department of Education (DepEd) through the K to 12 Secretariat will conduct a series of nationwide consultation workshops with various education groups/stakeholders from both public and private sectors to ensure that the development of the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum goes through a consultative and participatory process.
The consultation workshops will be held on the following dates and venues:

The objectives of this activity are to gather comments/recommendations from the different groups of education stakeholders on the Core Learning Areas Standards, Key Stage Standards, Grade Level Standards, Content and Performance Standards, outputs of the Phase II: K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum mapping planning workshop conducted on March 16-18, 2011.

To ensure the distribution of elementary and secondary teachers/department heads, regional and division education supervisors in the twelve (12) learning areas or the regional director of each region is requested to abide by the number of Education Supervisors, elementary and secondary teachers per learning area indicated in the enclosed tables. Distributing the slots of elementary and secondary teachers according to grade/year level is highly encouraged. It is not advisable to have all grade/year teachers in the same grade/year level for the consultation.

The participants are expected to be at the venue a day before the scheduled date of the consultation workshop. The first meal to be served will be dinner on the day before the consultation workshop and the last meal wi11 be breakfast on the next day after the consultation workshop.

The travel expenses of the public school participants from their official station to the venue of the consultation shall be charged to local funds, whereas travel expenses of the private schools, consultants and members of the secretariat, and other incidental expenses including the board and lodging of all the participants shall be charged to allotted funds from various offices in the DepEd Central Office subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
