2011 World Food Day Nationwide On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest

The World Food Day is celebrated every 16th of October of every year. The United Nations (UN) Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Department of Agriculture (DA) will spearhead this year’s celebration with the theme "Food Prices from Crisis to Stability.” To highlight the celebration, the On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest will be conducted by level on the following dates:

This contest is open to all interested Grades IV to VI pupils, not older than twelve (12) years old, from both public and private schools nationwide.

The poster entry shall be an original creation of eligible participants, depicting the theme of the celebration.

Each of the five (5) best poster winners will receive a cash prize of Fifteen Thousand Pesos (PhP15,000.00), a trophy and a plaque for the winning school. All the prizes will be shouldered by the FAO. The non-winning regional poster participants will each receive One Thousand Pesos (PhP1,000.00), Certificate of Participation and a Certificate of Appreciation for the non-winning schools.

The National winners will be awarded during the World Food Day celebration on October 14, 2011.
